Teaching Ministry training

Teaching Ministry involves educating and feeding the body of Christ with the Word of God. Teachers have a gift to break down the Word of God, enabling people to understand and apply the truth in their lives. Their area of calling includes equipping and training others to teach the Biblical Principles.

These courses will provide Biblical knowledge and understanding of the Word of God and how to communicate more effectively to believers.

Level 1: Specialized Courses

Biblical Interpretation – BITH551

The aim of this course is to develop a working knowledge of the basic skills of biblical interpretation. Students will be introduced to the various skills needed to work with the different types of literature, or genre, found in the Bible as well as matters of context and content. The goal of this course is to help students to become skilled, life-long exegetes of God’s Word.

Bible Teaching Methods – CF203

This course examines the methods Jesus used to teach and preach the Gospel. Students are taught how to prepare and present lessons and how to teach and preach the Gospel.

Christian Education In The Church – BICM202

This course provides the student with biblical, historical, and theological foundations of Christian education. The student will be led to explore principles for an effective implementation of education programs in the local church.

Biblical Theology – CF519

The word “theology” comes from two Greek words, theos meaning “God” and logos meaning “the word about” or “the study of” God as He is revealed in the Scriptures. Simply defined, theology is an in-depth study of the Holy Bible. The student will discover what God has said about Himself, His purposes, His plans, and His promises.

Level 2: Core Courses
Biblical Leadership Principles – CF204

A review of Biblical management principles with emphasis on servant leadership, Biblical leaders, and Scriptural strategies for success.

Understanding The Old Testament – BITH101

A survey of the Old Testament. Emphasis is placed on the major themes, key scriptures, and major personalities of each book. Historical and literary backgrounds of the books are covered.

Understanding The New Testament – BITH102

An introduction to the New Testament that examines major themes, broad divisions, key scriptures, major personalities, and the structure and context of each book. Literary and historical backgrounds are also examined.

Biblical Preaching 101 – BITH206

This course provides an overview of aspects of biblical preaching, including the development and delivery of biblical sermons.

Introduction To Biblical Counseling – BITH590

The nature and principles of biblical counseling, techniques and theories of counseling; patterns of problem solving, the counselor and counselee relationship; the sufficiency of Scripture; and biblical conflict resolution.

Preparing For Christian Ministry – BICM109

This course will help students discover their calling and inspire them to place their God given gifts at the Lord’s disposal. Principles of biblical vision and spiritual leadership are covered to help students become powerful servants of the Almighty.

Level 3: Internship & Ministry Training in the Field
Internship Placement – MT510

Internship Placement will build the foundation for Level 3, Internship and Ministry Training in the field. Steps will be established for the individualized internship location and experience.

Mentor & Mentee Connection – MT511

The Mentor and Mentee Connection will create an opportunity to establish your calling and build the roadmap for the internship experience as well as a lasting relationship with the mentor and mentee.

Ministerial Calling & Skill Identification – MT512

Once your calling is established, you can now begin the steps toward observing in the Ministry field alongside the Mentor and begin to identify the areas you of your skill set.

Field Training & Development – MT513

A hands on approach to Ministry will take place in the Field Training and Development phase, helping you to gain the skills and knowledge to live out the call placed on your life through real time internship training and Ministry work. 

Level 4: Outcome & Reflection from Field Training
Student Reflection Report – MT514

Student will write a Reflection Report based on their experience and hands on training in the field of Ministry.

Student Report Review – MT515

An in depth review and interview will take place during the Student Report Review portion, taking an overall snapshot of the Levels 1 through 4 experience and take-aways.

Gap Identification & Adjustment – MT516

In this phase, We will express any areas that may not have been covered through the Educational Courses and Internship Experience and adjust that to assure you have been equipped with what you need to live out your calling in Ministry.

Level 5: Ministerial Ordination & Graduation
Ministerial Ordination – MT520

Now it is time to make it official, through the graduation and ordination level, Students will learn about the details of obtaining and upholding licensures, legal and ethical requirements within their Ministry. As well as any other discussion specific for their area or calling.
